Inauguration of Vien Thong Bridge #3 – 33m x 2m – 2019.11.02
Ngày 17 tháng 11 năm 2019
Vien Thong bridge #3 is located in Phong Lưu hamlet in Đông Hưng commune, was built with reinforced concrete, length 33m and width 2m. Not far away is an old bridge which has been damaged in many places so it’s not easy to cross. Locals said that when it rained at night, some people and cars would accidentally fell into the river. Luckily this is a busy area; hence, they were rescue in time.
The bridge allow pupils to go to school from elementary school to high school, and adults to get to the main road for trade. Moreover, the locality promised that after the bridge is built, the officials and the locals will remove the surrounding trees to make way for better road for easy movement. Where there is a bridge, there will be roads to bring safety to all the people living in the area, especially students who need to go to school every day. This is a good dharma that has brought many benefits to humanity.
We traveled by car for nearly 2 hours and the only means of transportation was by boat to reach our destination. It took us 45 minutes by boat to arrive to venue to administer the inauguration ceremony of Vien Thong Bridge #3. This bridge bridge will allow people to travel back and forth between districts and communes. They’ll need to take a boat if they need to gog to the city.
Much appreciation to our benefactors for donating to the construction of Vien Thong bridge #3. The family would like to share this blessing and dedicate prayer to the spirit of Phan Quốc Dũng (dharma name Tâm Trí), to be reborn to the peaceful world of Pureland. May the world be peaceful and all beings in harmony.
Sincerely,
Tu Bi Foundation
The Tu Bi Foundation would like to express our gratitude to the Pháp Hoa Association in Virginia. Each year Tu Bi receive donation and built bridges for Pháp Hoa Association and the poor people in the remote area in Cà Mau province.

This is the second bridge sponsored by Vien Thong Temple. Dedicating the merit of this good dharma to pray for Truong Huynh Thuy Linh, to be supernaturally born in the peaceful world of Amitabha Pureland.

Tu Bi Foundation would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Le Van Anh for sponsoring the construction of 3 concrete bridges to help students and the elderly from having to cross the river via monkey bridges and floating buoys (carry 1 to 2 students each time). From now on, students no longer have to worry about falling into the river when going to school. Poor families no longer have to spend money to send their children to school. Each month, the family saves $8 USD per student.
Much appreciation,
Tu Bi Foundation
Dear benefactors!
When we inaugurated the bridges that Tu Bi helped build in Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Cà Mau … areas with many rivers and canals, we became more and more grateful to the numerous contributions of our benefactors over the years.
Tu Bi 19 Bridge is 25m long X 2m in Tân Hưng Commune, Cái Nước District, Cà Mau Province. The bridge connects nearly 600 people to their bloodline and culture. For years, people have been waiting for the local community and charities to help but were not considered. The only way to get to the bridge by boat and we have to keep our heads down when we cross the bridges that the locality has.
Tu Bi Foundation would like to express our deep gratitude to benefactors. Everyone’s happiness is our happiness when seeing results that bring many benefits to sentient beings.
Letter from the volunteer in Ca Mau:
Recently, we have surveyed the bridges that needed help and realize that Tan Tao Village Bridge, Tan Hung Dong Commune, Cai Nuoc District, connected to Rau Dua C Village, Hoa My Commune, Cai Nuoc District are in great need of assistance.
Situation: During the long stretch without a bridge, people along the river bank had to make temporary buoys or canoes to go back and forth. Every day students from Tan Hung Dong Commune must go to Hoa My Commune to study. Students had to cross this river to attend school so their travel is especially dangerous in the rainy season. This 27m long bridge will be connecting the main road to the big road and will connect 2 communes. The fee includes the iron span and embankment of VND 114,000,000 for the local counterpart 34 million VND 80 million. We hope Lieu Duyen and benefactors help.
Best regards, Anh Tuyết

Local resident have requested help for more than 1 year ago, but only now have fate is able materialize their aspiration. Our sincere appreciation to the family of Ms. Từ Ánh (Advance Surgergy Center) for funding the construction of this concrete bridge. Where there are students, we will do our best to find ways to help. The locals promised that ‘once the bridge is built, we will pave the path so that the people can can easily commute back and forth.’ When the delegation arrived, we found the locals had already started digging the land on their own to make way. From there we see the importance of concrete bridge and the many benefits it brought to students and people in the region.
In addition to the bridge inauguration, the TBF distributed gifts to 50 elementary school children in the region.
Dear Benefactors,
Bridges Liên Hoa và Pháp Hoa were funded Phap Hoa Charity in Virginia and was inaugurated on December 6, 2014. It was the first time we took an overnight bus from Saigon to CaMau, though nervous we were amused by the builtin bed as we departed at 11 pm and arrived 5:30 am in CaMau. During the trip we were all worried that the driver may fall asleep at the wheel and that would be the end of our journey. Currently, traveling in Vietnam is expensive – rental car from Saigon to the southern provinces. Our delegation wanted to try once to see how much can save, the result was was save of 1/3 compare to car rentals.
On arrival, we immediately start preparing for inauguration of the bridge. From Ca Mau to commune Bac Tan Loc, Thoi Binh district by car and then by motorcycle took almost 2 hours. The following morning the delegation attended the inauguration of Liên Hoa Bridge, when we saw the 22 meters concrete bridge and students waiting for the delegates to arrive, we forget all the tiredness, felt happy and contented. In the afternoon, we went to inaugurate Pháp Hoa Bridge in the commune Dinh Binh Long 29 meters.
The expression of the students and the elders of the area made it more evident as to the benefits of the concrete bridge. In the past, pedestrians had to cross on a monkey bridge by foot, leaving the bicycle on the side. Now people and bicycle can travel easily. At the inaugural ceremony, we also brought gifts for students and perform the animal liberation ceremony to pray for peace to all living beings.
Tu Bi Foundation is sincerely appreciate Pháp Hoa Charity, this amount is due to the contributions of many donors who at the Eden Center, Virginia.
Respectfully,
Tu Bi Foundation
