Program organize by Venerable Thien Ngoc – Abbot of Dai Phuoc Temple in Myanmar – the first relief trip:
FROM MAY 11 to 13, 2025: In the hot weather close to 40°C, although it was hard, the members of the delegation were happy to share the pain and suffering of the Myanmarese.
May 11, 2025 – Mandalay
• The delegation made offerings to 20 Buddhist temples and 2 Buddhist nunneries that were severely affected by the earthquake. (~$250 U.S./each temple)
May 12, 2025 – Sagaing
• Made offerings to 22 Buddhist temples and Buddhist nunneries that were damaged. (~$250 U.S./each temple)
• Distributed 3,000 cash gifts to poor people affected by the earthquake.
• At Mandalay City Hospital, the delegation presented 600 gifts to patients.
13/5/2025 – Mandalay
• The delegation returned to Mandalay to present 700 gifts to students from primary to high school from disadvantaged families at 3 schools. • Teachers at the schools also received gifts.
